Katie Moran-McCabe is the Director of Research and Operations at the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University's Beasley School of Law. She oversees the Center’s research team, which focuses on systematically measuring key features of laws related to public health to create legal data and support the use of legal epidemiology to analyze the impact of laws on health. Katie’s primary research interests include housing policy, income supports policy, and social determinants of health. Katie has led several large projects for the Center, including the development of the Legal Levers for Health Equity in Housing report series, creation of the Sentinel Surveillance of Emerging Laws and Policies legal mapping method, and the Center’s work tracking laws and policies that may influence outcomes related to HIV, viral hepatitis, or STIs.

Prior to joining the Center, Katie worked as the Director of Enforcement with the Fair Housing Rights Center in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary C. Jacobson, A.J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey. Katie graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, and earned her JD degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Katie is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
